Welcome to the Hmong Center Sports Academy Flag Football Program
Get ready to hit the field! The Hmong Center Sports Academy Flag Football Program is built for youth who are ready to learn the game, develop their skills, and have fun in a positive, team-focused environment. Whether your child is new to flag football or already has experience, our program provides the coaching and opportunities they need to improve, compete, and build confidence.
Registration is Now Open!
We are now welcoming boys and girls in grades 3rd - 6th to join our flag football program.
Sessions begin on July 20 at Joannes Park, 215 S. Baird St., Green Bay, WI 54301. Practices will be held every Monday and Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
The program will run for six weeks. The first four weeks will focus on skill development, fundamentals, and team practice. The final two weeks will give participants the opportunity to put those skills into action through organized games.
What we focus on
Our flag football program is built around strong fundamentals - the foundation of every great player:
-
Passing – Proper throwing mechanics, accuracy, timing, and confidence making throws at all distances
-
Receiving – Catching fundamentals, route running, hand-eye coordination, and securing the football
-
Ball Carrying – Running with vision, protecting the football, agility, and making defenders miss
-
Flag Pulling – Proper technique, positioning, pursuit angles, and defensive discipline
-
Offense & Defense – Learning offensive plays, defensive assignments, communication, teamwork, and positioning
-
Game Awareness & Football IQ – Understanding the rules, reading the field, making smart decisions, and learning how to work together as a team
Our Goal for Players
Our goal is to provide a fun, safe, and positive environment where every player can learn the fundamentals of football, develop skills that translate to both flag and tackle football, and grow in confidence. Along the way, players will build teamwork, discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship while creating lasting friendships and a love for the game.
